As faculty, you play a critical role in supporting students in career exploration and professional development. Below are some ways that faculty can work with the Career Development Office to encourage greater dialogue and stronger partnerships to ensure the success of our students.

Encourage students to schedule an appointment with the Career Development Office for one-on-one counseling sessions, resume reviews, internship/job search techniques, interview skills and much more.

Class Presentations

Invite a member of the Career Development Office to present to your class on a variety of career topics.

The Career Development Office will visit your classroom to do class resume reviews. Please contact Career Development to schedule a visit.

COMING SOON! Art World Conference Videos

This is a series of multimedia lectures on video (including transcriptions and viewing guides). These pre-recorded videos will discuss financial health and career guidance for artists, designers, and arts administrators, addressing topics such as budgeting; freelance finance; taxes and business entities (LLC vs. S-Corp, etc.) Please contact Career Development to gain access to the videos.

Employers and Alumni Relations

Work with the Career Development Office to develop relationships with employers and alumni interested in providing experiential learning and job opportunities for students. 

Where are They Now?

The Career Development Office welcomes any information regarding students who have secured an internship or a job. Faculty work very closely with students and you are often the people that students share information with. Please encourage students to report to our office. Email .
